Helping uninsured Hispanic individuals and families save up to 65% on the medicines they need to stay healthy and to manage chronic conditions.

HolaDoctorSM is proud to announce that it will offer “FREE” Prescription Rx Savings Cards to all U.S Hispanics via their online Hispanic health portal website at: http://holadoctor.com/es/herramientas/tarjeta-de-descuento. Everyone is eligible to use the Rx Savings Card regardless of immigration status, age, income, or existing health coverage.

Hispanics can obtain the savings benefits immediately by downloading and printing the prescription Rx Savings Card from the HolaDoctor Hispanic health portal in either English or Spanish, and using it at more than 60,000 participating pharmacies nationwide for discount benefits. In addition, cardholders can find a participating pharmacy based on zip codes and distance.

“Using the HolaDoctorSM Rx Savings Card is easy,” said Deborah Dean, President and COO of HolaDoctorSM. “Hispanic users simply, print it in either English or Spanish right from our website, and present it at a participating pharmacy. There is no enrollment form, no membership fee, no expiration date and no restrictions or limits on frequency of use. We are making a difference by helping Hispanic users and their families receive savings of up to 65% on their prescription medications.”

HolaDoctorSM launched the Rx Savings Card program for U.S. Hispanics who do not have insurance or take medications that are not covered by their insurance plan. Additionally, Hispanics who have prescription coverage can use this program for non-formulary or non-covered drugs, as can individuals who do not qualify for publicly funded programs such as Medicaid and Medicare.

“This program is just what Hispanics needed to help them manage rising drug costs,” stated Ms. Dean, “We are proud to be contributing to a good cause by alleviating the high costs for Hispanics purchasing prescription medications from participating pharmacies.” HolaDoctorSM provides the Rx Savings Card in partnership with EnvisionRx.

HolaDoctorSM encourages Hispanics to spread the word to others who may benefit from the Rx Savings Card. Anyone could print the card and deliver it to anyone who needs it. For those who do not have easy access to the Internet or printer, they may request the card in either English or Spanish by calling toll free: 1-866-341-9687, and receive it via mail. The HolaDoctorSM Rx Savings Card program will have a 24-hour customer service hotline that will be made available for direct support in English and Spanish.

Empowers Hispanic Users To Conduct a Search By Specialty, Last Name, Gender, Language Preference and Office/Hospital Location.

HolaDoctorSM, formerly DrTango Inc., the global leader of Hispanic wellness and lifestyle programs, products and services for businesses and consumers, is proud to announce the launch of a Find a Doctor (Encuentre un Doctor) powered by Healthgrades®, a new one-stop shop tool devoted to making it easy to find a doctor based on the criteria most important to Hispanic patients.

Realizing the importance of providing Hispanic consumers with a Spanish-language application to help them find the most appropriate healthcare professional to meet their specific needs, HolaDoctorSM created a solution that combines all the criteria critical to selecting a doctor —in one place. Now, Hispanic users can do something they couldn’t do before: search for a doctor based on factors such as specialty, last name, gender, language preference, and office location and obtain results including key information to help them make this important decision in the language they connect with the most.

“Most Hispanics don’t know where to go for help when they want to find the right doctor and end up frustrated with the lack of Spanish-language information currently available online to help them make the best decision,” said Robert Estrada, CEO, HolaDoctorSM. “What they really want is a great doctor that specializes in the area of need, who is close to them, and either takes their insurance or accepts patients with no insurance.”

Through a partnership with HealthGrades®, the leading independent healthcare ratings organization, HolaDoctorSM gives Hispanic users access to 750,000 doctors in more than 110 specialties nationwide.

“Leveraging the industry’s most comprehensive, accurate, and complete database of healthcare providers in the nation, and being able to offer it in Spanish, makes HolaDoctor’s Find a Doctor application a first-of-its-kind online tool.” continued Estrada. “We are working hard to make sure that all the information Spanish-speakers need to make smart health choices is on holadoctor.com.”

To find the right doctor in your area, please visit: http://holadoctor.com/es/healthgrades.
DrTango Inc., the global leader of Hispanic health and wellness content, programs, products and services for businesses and consumers announces its company name change to HolaDoctorSM.

The change coincides with the launch of HolaDoctor’s consumer health and wellness portal, a new comprehensive website that provides valuable information, tools, services, and programs to Spanish-speaking Hispanics in the United States, Latin America and Spain. The site focuses on major healthcare issues affecting Hispanics and is tailored to better serve the different countries and ethnic groups.

“We are very excited to change our company name to one that is more representative of what we do”, said Roberto Estrada, HolaDoctor’s Chief Executive Officer. “HolaDoctor is committed to continue to provide high quality and effective health and wellness content and programs for Hispanic consumers, and to encourage and facilitate communications between Hispanic patients and their doctors and other healthcare professionals”.

In addition to having unique editorial content, HolaDoctor counts on relevant material from other industry leaders and healthcare content partners such as Healthwise, a nonprofit organization that develops information and tools to help people make better health decisions, and Consumer Reports®. All partners’ content and tools have been translated into Spanish and many have been culturally adapted by DrTango’s team of translators and linguists.

To reach the largest number of Hispanics online and on mobile platforms, HolaDoctor partnered with Univision Interactive Media, Inc. to feature content from HolaDoctor’s health and wellness portal on Univision Salud. Univision Salud is a comprehensive new health site that features high caliber content, valuable tools, and premier services and programs that focus on healthcare issues that are important to Hispanics.

In the decade from 1990 to 2000, the U.S. Hispanic population increased by more than 50%, from approximately 22 million to 35 million. Since many of these Hispanics have limited proficiency in English, or prefer to receive information in Spanish, government agencies and healthcare providers are seeking ways to provide health information that is linguistically and culturally appropriate. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is seeking to better define the potential of the Internet to expand the provision of health information to Hispanic consumers, particularly those who prefer to receive health information in Spanish.
